Note: in case it wasn't already obvious, this news piece was an April Fools' Day joke. The OoT leaderboards will continue to use real-time, as they always have.Read More

With the recent release of the Majora's Mask remake on the Nintendo 3DS, many speedrunners have been working hard over the past few weeks to "crack" the game. We are proud to announce that the Majora's Mask 3D leaderboards are ready for submissions! On top that, the game has its own section here on Zelda Speed Runs website for those who want to learn some of the tricks and skips that have been discovered so far. Enjoy!
I've recently applied some patches to the forums that should resolve some of the issues that people have been having over the last few months. If you couldn't get them to work before, try again now. If you've previously registered and are waiting for account approval, your account has either already been approved, or deleted by mistake. mzxrules
Up until now, leaderboard submissions would only show an embedded video if it was hosted on YouTube or Twitch. Now hitbox.tv videos will work correctly too. Hopefully this will make it easier for runners who use Hitbox to share their times. Enjoy!
There's been a lot of interest in Glitchless MM lately, and ZSR has decided to accept it as a leaderboard category. It's important to note that unlike Glitchless OoT, this is not the same set of rules commonly used for the Japanese version (often referred to as "bug limit" or バグ制限), but a new set of rules that has been agreed upon by many current players. While this category has usually been played on the English version of the game in order to clearly distinguish the two categories, we are accepting runs from any region, but they must follow the rules set in place for this new category. Submit your times here.
Ganonless has gotten a lot of support lately and it has been added as an official ZSR category. Submit times here.
From now on the leaderboard for the Ocarina of Time 3D Medallions/Stones/Trials category will no longer accept runs that use the New Game+ glitch. Any runs posted on the leaderboards will be removed that use this glitch, including runs submitted prior to this change.
