Text Skips

Much of the text in LA(DX) can be skipped by bringing up the Save and Quit menu or the START menu as the text is about to come on screen. There are more text skips in the original Link's Awakening than there are in the DX remake. The original game also has a feature which lets text be skipped by pressing the B button.
