Perfect Pause Buffering

A simple, perfect, single-frame advance can be performed by first pressing Select to bring up the Save Menu, and then subsequently pressing A then Select again in rapid succession (not simultaneously). If done correctly, this will quickly and consistently advance the game by exactly one frame.

Alternatively, you can press B then Select after swinging your sword and hold the charge while advancing the frame.
