Here you can find various helpful tools for speedrun practice and testing
(Note: Many of these tools require your wii to be already homebrewed and have homebrew channel installed)
GCMM 1.4f, a Gamecube Savefile Manager homebrew application for Wii/GC (Mod by: Dragonbane)
Neogamma TP mod, a loader for Wii homebrew that includes built in togglable cheats for TP (Mod by: Dragonbane)
Dolphin Zelda Edition, a modified version of Dolphin that includes extra tools for TP/TWW (Mod by: Dragonbane)
Twilight Editor, a Savefile editor for GC TP saves that allows you to modify values and flags (By: AECX)
tpgz, a practice tool that includes many helpful tools such as memory watch, inventory management, cheats, and map loading (By: Mid/Pheenoh/Taka/Kipcode)
Setting up tpgz
Setting up SD card (GCN)
- Download Nintendont files
- Extract the 'nintendont' folder to the apps folder of your SD Card (SD:\apps\nintendont)
- Create a folder called 'games' on the root of your SD Card (SD:\games)
- Inside 'games', create a new folder and name it anything ('TPGZ' and 'GZ2E01' are popular choices)
- Open tpgz.io on your PC
- Select the desired patch version, and click 'Patch'
- Wait for the patcher to finish (may take a few minutes)
- Place the patched ISO into the second game folder (inside of the 'games' folder) on the SD card, and name the file 'game.iso' (remember to add '.iso' at the end)
- Example: SD:\games\TPGZ\game.iso
- Insert the SD card into the Wii and open Homebrew Channel
Setting up SD card (Wii)
- Download Wiiflow files
- Extract wiiflow folder to the apps folder of your SD Card (SD:\apps\wiiflow)
- Create a folder called 'wbfs' on the root of your SD Card (SD:\wbfs)
- Download the romhack patcher
- Place your Wii ISO, the romhack patcher program, and patch file in a folder together
- Open command line in that folder, and run [./romhack.exe apply patchname.patch 'isoname.iso' 'outputname.iso']
- (Example: ./romhack.exe apply 0.2-wii-ntscu-10.patch 'rzde10.iso' 'tpgzw.iso')
- Wait for the patch process to finish (may take a few minutes)
- Place the patched ISO into the games folder on your SD card, and name the file 'game.iso' (remember to add '.iso' at the end) (SD:\wbfs\game.iso)
- Insert your SD card into the Wii and open Homebrew Channel
Loading tpgz on a Wii
- Launch Nintendont
- Choose the file location of your tpgz ISO
- Open Settings, and make sure to turn 'Native Control' on
- Launch game

Setting up SD card
- Download GCMM 1.4f
- Extract everything from the 'Release\SDCard' folder to your SD Card
- Create a Folder on the root of your SD Card called 'MCBACKUP' (SD:\MCBACKUP)
- Download any savefiles you may want from the Savefiles page
- Extract .gci files from the zip to the MCBACKUP folder on your SD card
- Insert your SD card into the Wii and open Homebrew Channel
Using GCMM
- Launch GCMM
- Select which source device you're using (A: SD card, B: USB)
- Press X to restore savefiles from SD to a memory card
- Select which memory card slot you want with A or B
- Select which savefile you want to put on your memory card and press A
- Press Start to return to Homebrew Channel

(Note: Neogamma is largely obsoleted as a practice tool by tpgz, however it is still a good alternative if needed)
Setting up SD card
- Download cIOS installer for Wii
- Extract the 'apps' folder from the zip to your SD card
- Download Neogamma TP
- Extract everything from the 'release\cMIOS\SDCard' folder to your SD card
- Extract everything from the 'release\Neogamma\SDCard' folder to your SD card
- Insert your SD card into the Wii and open Homebrew Channel
Installing cIOS
- Launch 'd2x cIOS installer' and press any button to continue
- Select recommended settings before installing
- Select cIOS (v10 beta52 d2x-v10-beta52)
- Select cIOS base 56
- Select cIOS slot 249
- Select cIOS revision 65535
- Press A to install
- Once it finishes installing, repeat for the second cIOS
- Select cIOS (v10 beta52 d2x-v10-beta52)
- Select cIOS base 57
- Select cIOS slot 250
- Select cIOS revision 65535
- Press A to install once again
- Once finished, press B to exit
Installing cMIOS
- Launch 'Installer for WiiGator's cMIOS'
- Choose IOS 249 to use and press A
- Read warning. Wait for the press 1 message to appear, then press 1
- Install cMIOS
- Press A to go in MIOS menu
- Press A to choose 'Install cMIOS'
- Press A to load from SD Card
- Press A to install cMIOS
- Press A to exit once finished
Using Neogamma TP
- Launch Neogamma from the homebrew menu
- Go to Options > TP Cheats
- Turn on Custom Cheats, and select whatever cheats you desire
- Return to Menu
- Launch Game on DVD (make sure a Twilight Princess disc is inserted)
